Tim began his career at IBM, where he rose through the ranks to Chief Operating Officer of their Educational Division. He transitioned to startup entrepreneur as the head of Fogdog Sports (www.fogdog.com), a venture capital-backed online sporting goods company recognized by Fortune Magazine as a “world class” customer experience on the web. He went on to found and co-own Armor Gear LLC (www.armorgear.com), an online consumer products company specializing in high-quality travel gear. Tim was also involved in the start-up of GolfWeb, once ranked as the #1 golf-related web site in the world.

A native of New York, Tim earned a BBA in Accounting from Siena College in Albany, NY.,and received an MS in Management from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business as a Sloan Fellow.

Peter is a former Senior Vice President of Ameriprise Financial Advisors, Inc., formerly American Express Financial Advisors. During his 25 year career he built top performing organizations, including the development of a 5,000+ personal financial advisor network. Most recently he has led start-ups and small business organizations through turnaround, re-alignment, acquisition, and divestiture as the Founder and CEO of The Velardi Group, LLC,.

A graduate of the Boston University School of Management with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Peter is a Certified Financial Planner, and holds active securities and insurance licenses. He is a nationally recognized motivational speaker on topics including “How to Achieve Wealth and Happiness,” and “How to Achieve Quantum Leap Business Growth.”

 

David Andersen, Vice President of Communications

Dave has transitioned from advisor to the founders of eRollover, now FiPath, to investor, to the Head of all communications. He’s a respected marketing and communications professional, with a history of providing strategic counsel and tactical implementation of effective public relations, marketing, crisis management, media relations, government affairs, investor relations, and employee communications programs and procedures in support of overall business objectives. Previous Fortune 500 employers have included Charter Communications, Inc., CNBC, and Cox Communications, Inc. Dave is also the Founder and Principal of DCA Management Consulting Services, an independent management consulting firm in Atlanta.

A graduate of the University of Kansas with a BS in Journalism, Dave received the Vanguard Award, the cable television industry’s highest individual honor. He’s a native of Detroit.

 

Chris Barber, Vice President of Marketing

Chris was previously the Head of Strategic Business Development for SeriousRunning.com, a unit of Blue Spruce Ventures, LLC. Through effective SEO and content creation, Chris advanced SeriousRunning to the Google 1st page for key searches such as "trail races," "shoe reviews," "trail running blog," and "best 10K races.” Utilizing social media, he created "National Trail Running Day," which resulted in 20K participants across the United States. The site also became the #1 trafficked Trail Running website on the Internet in 14 months, surpassing competitors with more than 10 year histories in the category.

Chris served in the United States Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, attaining the rank of Captain. During a 15 month deployment in Iraq, he was a Platoon leader, and awarded the Bronze Star Medal for successfully leading two Platoons through a hostile enemy ambush.

A graduate of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, Chris majored in Economics and minored in Psychology. He earned an MBA at Emory University (Atlanta), with concentrations in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Chris is a native of Atlanta.

 

Brian Breneman, Chief Technology Officer

Brian is a seasoned consultant, technologist, and entrepreneur, with 20 years experience designing and implementing software solutions for complex business problems.

Over the course of his IT consulting career, Brian has developed excellent research skills, and an in-depth understanding of many knowledge domains. As the Founder and Principal of The Breneman Group, he’s a specialist in web-based and mobile applications, and has worked with a wide variety of clients, from small and medium sized businesses, to startups, government, and Fortune 500 companies

A graduate of Xavier University in Cincinnati, Brian also studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Rochester, New York. He’s a native of Haslett, Michigan.

 

Ayana Glaze, Director of Web Content

Ayana was named Director of Web Content in February, 2012. Most recently, she was the Online Content Editor for Homedepot.com, with responsibility for managing and publishing content for high volume product categories, content strategy, development for major brand pages and category redesigns, and writing SEO optimized content for The Home Depot’s blog, The Apron.

Prior to Home Depot, Ayana held several positions in online content management and development at UPS, John Weiland Homes, BellSouth, and RBS Worldpay. Her specialties included writing day-to-day content, supporting promotional campaigns, participating in content migrations and site launches, and managing content for multiple websites and intranet sites. 

A graduate of Georgia Southern University with a B.S. in Public Relations, Ayana also earned a Graduate Certificate in Technical Communication from Southern Polytechnic State University. She is a native of Leslie, GA.

Dana began her career at Trio Media Group in Atlanta, creating and managing social media strategies on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, plus paid advertising campaigns on Facebook for clients including Comcast, PSA Healthcare, the PATH Foundation, and Piedmont Healthcare.

A graduate of the University of West Georgia, Dana’s studies were focused on Marketing. She’s a native of Tyrone, GA.

 

R. Lee Morris, Chief Financial Officer

Lee has several years experience as a chief financial officer with companies in the technology sector. As a chief financial officer, his responsibilities have included all aspects of the financial, legal and human resource disciplines. He’s also held several directorships.

Most recently, Lee was the chief financial officer of FleetRisk Advisors, Inc., a predictive analytics technology Company acquired by Qualcomm January 2011. He also served as chief financial officer of Gideon Technologies, Inc. an IT security software company acquired by Symantec January 2010, and was also Managing Director of EGL Holdings, LLC., a venture capital and corporate finance company.

Lee also served as a Director and the Chief Financial Officer of The NetCommerce Company (Span2); the Chief Financial Officer of E3 Corporation (acquired by JDA Software, Inc.) with fourteen offices worldwide and a” Fast Tech 50” and “Atlanta 100” Company; as the Chief Financial Officer and a Director of FormMaker Software, Inc. (later DocuCorp International, Inc. (NASDQ), and acquired by Skywire Software, LLC) an “INC. 500”, “Atlanta Business Chronicle Top 25 Computer Company,” and “National Fast 500 Technology” Company; and as the Chief Financial Officer and a Director of American Technical Services Group, Inc., an “INC 500”, “Fast Tech 50” and “Atlanta 100” Company.

An honors graduate of Florida State University, Lee began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Atlanta. He’s a Charter Member of the Technology Executive Roundtable, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who Among Rising Young Americans, and Who’s Who Worldwide. Lee is a native of Florida.

Mike is an experienced investment counselor, insurance executive, and financial services advisor. He began his career at UBS, with responsibility for implementing asset, retirement, and investment strategies. Following UBS, Mike worked for a financial services marketing firm located in Atlanta. Most recently, Mike founded eInsurance Advisors, a full service insurance and investment marketing firm serving over 10,000 advisors nationwide.

A former President of the Young Advisors Committee for the State of Georgia, Mike serves on the Board, and is also an area Vice President, of the Georgia Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).

Mike received a BBA from the University of Georgia with an emphasis in Risk Management and Finance. He’s a native of Dallas, TX.

Ed Thomas, Vice President of Business Development

Ed is responsible for all joint ventures, partnerships and relationships, with a focus on increasing site traffic, enhancing the user experience, and developing new revenue opportunities. He also has responsibility for the identification of new consumer product transaction initiatives, including the conception of new products, the establishment of desired feature set and technical requirements, the oversight of the development process, the launch of new products, and the on-going oversight of the new business line.

Previously a partner and founder of Rock & Water Capital Partners, Ed was responsible for investment selection and oversight, marketing, and business development activities for the firm. During his tenure, the firm grew from inception to having completed more than $25M worth of investments,generating significant returns for its partners and investors. Ed also worked as a product manager in the technology industry, and began his career at Bain & Company, where he worked on strategy consulting engagement across a wide range of industries.

Ed graduated with departmental honors, summa cum laude, from Duke University with a BA in Economics and History. He also earned an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He is the recipient of the 2011 Award of Merit from Stanford University and the 2011 Forever Duke Award from Duke University.

Ed is a native of North Carolina.

 

Mike Turgeon, Managing Director of Advisor Services

Michael Turgeon is the Managing Director of Advisor Services, with responsibility for enterprise sales and marketing initiatives for FiPath for Advisors™.

Mike has served in senior leadership roles with American Century Investments, a privately controlled and independent investment management firm, where he helped expand their mutual fund and retirement plan business within the brokerage firm arena. Prior to this he was Senior Vice President and National Sales Manager, Strategic Markets, for Phoenix Investment Partners, Ltd. (PXP), a provider of investment advisory services. Early in his career he was a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley (then Dean Witter), and began his career with Merrill Lynch.

A graduate of Keene State College in New Hampshire, Mike has attended executive programs at Harvard and the Wharton School. He has also served on numerous committees with financial services associations, including the ICI and FPA.
